If I place an order for a bike, how long will it take to ship?

Thanks so much for your interest in ordering a bike through Mike’s Bikes!

Our fulfillment center staff is working as hard as possible to ensure that every bike ordered is shipped out in a timely manner. Here are a couple scenarios to keep in mind for the estimated time of arrival (ETA) of your specific bike order.

There are a couple factors that will affect the time it will take for the bike you are interested in to ship out:

• Smaller Kids Bikes or Public Brand Bikes: If the bike you are interested in is a smaller kids bike or a Public brand bike and free unassembled shipping is presented as an option at checkout, then these bikes should ship out in approximately 3-4 business days. With this shipping method the bike will be shipped in its original factory box without being pre-assembled.
• In-Stock Bikes with "Wheelsmith Gold Label Assembly": For in-stock bikes where the shipping method will be automatically selected as “Wheelsmith Gold Label Assembly”, the processing time is typically 5-6 business days. These bikes often need to be “transferred” from one of our facilities to our fulfillment center where they will undergo the build, tuning, and packing procedure.
• Special Order Bikes: For “Special Order” bikes, we do our best to set reasonable expectations for timing on the listing for the bike, right above the “Special Order This Item” button that you will click to add the bike to your cart. These time frames can vary for each special order bike. 
  • For bikes that are in stock with their manufacturers the timing will usually display 2-3 weeks on the site. This accounts for the time it takes us to receive the bike and then get it through the “Wheelsmith Gold Label Assembly” process before finally shipping the bike out to you.
  • Certain bikes will display specific estimated dates further than 2-3 weeks away. These dates come to us directly from the manufacturers. This means that they also don’t have the bike but are presenting us with an estimate of when they would have the bike available to ship to us. These dates are only estimates and can be subject to change based on many factors such as supply chain availability.

Please keep in mind that we do not have an option to ship bikes without using our “Wheelsmith Gold Label Assembly” method. It is mandated by the manufacturers that we carry that every bike we sell gets professionally assembled and inspected prior to reaching your doorstep. Once a bike is assembled, packing the bike safely for transit takes time and our proprietary packing methods will protect the bike as best as possible from damage in transit.

While it does add a few more days to the processing time you can rest assured that reassembly will be as easy as possible and that all of your applicable warranties will be in effect for you as the original owner of the bike.
